MOLECULAR BIOLOGY OF THE CELL PROBLEMS BOOK

About this book

Molecular Biology of the Cell - The Problems Book helps students appreciate the means in which experiments and also basic calculations deserve to cause an knowledge of exactly how cells job-related by presenting the experimental foundation of cell and molecular biology. Each chapter reviews vital terms, tests for understanding basic concepts, and also poses research-based troubles. The Problems Book has been designed to correspond via the first twenty chapters of Molecular Biology of the Cell, Sixth Edition.

Biography

John Wilson got his PhD from the The golden state Institute of Technology and did his postdoctoral occupational at Stanford College. He is presently Professor of Biochemistry and also Molecular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine, through research interests in genome stability and gene therapy. He has taught medical and also graduate students for many kind of years, co authored publications on immunology, molecular biology, and also biochemistry, and obtained numerous teaching honors, consisting of the Distinguimelted Faculty and also Robertkid Presidential Awards for excellence in education and learning.Tim Hunt got his PhD in biochemisattempt from Cambridge College, wbelow he supervised undergraduates in cell biology for more than twenty years. He spent many kind of summers in the late 1970s and also early 1980s teaching molecular biology at the Naval Biological Laboratories in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. In 1990, he moved to a place at ICRF Clare Hall Laboratories just outside London, wbelow he functions on the control of the cell cycle. He is a Fellow of The Royal Society of London and a foreign associate of the US National Academy of Sciences. In acknowledgment of his contribution to the exploration of essential regulators of cell cycle, he was one of the recipients of the 2001 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine.
